The new 2010 Lexus RX450h is cheaper that the previous RX400h and has an updated hybrid system. The RX 450h will sell for $41,660 for front wheel drive, and $43,250 for all wheel drive, in addition to $875 for destination charges, while the RX 400h started at $42,080 for front wheel drive and $43,480 for all wheel drive.
The new RX 450 will have an improved 3.5L V6 that produces 295 hp, which is about 27
more hp than the earlier version. In addition to an updated engine, the RX 450h also has improved fuel economy; claiming a sixteen to twenty percent increase. The EPA estimates for the new RX are 30mpg, 32 mpg city, and 28 mpg highway for the FWD version.
The RX hybrid comes with ten standard air bags, driver front-knee and front-side seat-mounted airbags, as well as side-curtain, and rear-side bags. Other safety features are stability control, ABS, traction control and hill assist. Hill assist helps to prevent your vehicle from rolling back at an incline. The RX also has adjustable front lighting, pre-collision system, and cruise control.
The RX 450h hybrid SUV will also get some unique styling features to set it apart from the base model. These include an exclusive front grill, blue Lexus logos, hybrid emblems, and 19-inch rims and tires. The Lexus RX 450h will be here soon.
